We’ve got an “attitude of gratitude” at Food for Fairview this month!

We are grateful to so many and have so many people to thank!

First, a big thank you to Jason Blackwell (aka, Microphone Man), the Rhymer Family, and the Southern Wrestling Association for the two food drives they held for us recently.

Anyone attending a wrestling match in July and August at the Fairview Community Center could bring canned goods for Food for Fairview and be entered in a raffle.

We collected a shopping cart of food apiece at the two events! Thanks to everyone who participated!

A big shout out to the employees and customers of Bi-Lo #217 on Fairview Rd. Each year during the Bi-Lo Charity Classic Golf Tournament each store holds a fundraiser concurrent with the golf tournament. Each store designates a charity to receive the funds collected. Our local Bi-Lo raised nearly $1,400 for Food for Fairview this year! Way to go!

Many thanks to Dickie’s Half Price Foods of Fairview! In response to our recent article about our need for baby items, Dickie’s donated several cases of baby items. Thank you so much!

Last, but certainly not least, thank you to the Dollar General on Charlotte Highway! Periodically throughout the year company policy allows each store to choose a local charity and hold a food and toiletry drive for them. We are so grateful that our local store chose us! Many thanks to the employees and customers of the Charlotte Hwy. Dollar General store.

We are so thankful for all of our donors and volunteers! We couldn’t do this without you!
